BSCTC Celebrates Successful Completion of Plumbing Training Supported by Multi-Company TRAINS Funding
Prestonsburg, KY -Big Sandy Community and Technical College (BSCTC) proudly announces the successful completion of its plumbing training, which was made possible through the collaborative effort of multiple companies under the TRAINS funding initiative. This innovative program, tailored to meet diverse workforce needs, marks a significant milestone in addressing skill gaps and fostering career advancement opportunities.
The plumbing training program, a joint effort between Elliot Contracting and Pikeville Medical Center (PMC), exemplifies the power of public-private partnerships in driving workforce development. PMC leveraged this initiative to enhance the skills of its existing employees, empowering them to excel in their roles and advance within the organization. Meanwhile, Elliot Contracting strategically viewed the program as a valuable opportunity to cultivate its workforce and proactively meet the demands of the industry.
Todd Breahm, President of Elliot Contracting expressed his enthusiasm for the partnership during the certificate ceremony, emphasizing its dual benefits of workforce development and recruitment. He actively engaged with program participants and extended job applications to those interested in employment with the company.
