“A Veteran’s Forum”

FRANKFORT, Ky. (February 8, 2024) – On Saturday February 24, 2024, the Kentucky Department of Veterans Affairs, in partnership with the VA Center for Faith-Based and Neighborhood Partnerships (CFBNP), will be holding “A Veteran’s Forum” event at the First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) 1930 Winchester Ave., Ashland, KY, 41101. The event runs from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
Running concurrently from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. will be a Homeless Veterans Stand Down which will include cold weather giveaways.
The agenda includes speakers from Federal VA and Kentucky Dept. of Veterans Affairs. Brian Nimmo, director of Hershel “Woody” Williams VAMC, Conrad Washington, director of VA Center for Faith-Based and Neighborhood Partnerships, and Charles Booker, executive director Faith-Based Initiatives and Community Involvement to name a few of the speakers.
Topics include how to impact your community and neighborhood in a positive way, how to start a new business, VA S.A.V.E. Suicide Prevention Training, and more. Additionally, KDVA will provide information about the various programs and benefits available to veterans.
