The West Virginia State Police has released the name of a driver killed in a deadly crash on U.S. 52 in Wayne County on early Thursday evening, August 27.
According to the West Virginia State Police, just after 4:30 P.M. on Thursday, they stated their troopers responded to a two-vehicle crash on U.S. 52 near the intersection of Cedar Run Road in the Kenova area of Wayne County.
WVSP troopers in their preliminary investigation found that Ronald Fraley, 18, of Fort Gay, was traveling southbound on U.S. 52 when his vehicle crossed the centerline and hit a guardrail along the east side of the roadway.
The troopers say that Ronald Farley continued across the roadway and hit another vehicle head-on before overturning on the west side of the roadway.
Ronald Fraley died in the crash, according to the West Virginia State Police.
WVSP troopers say neither alcohol or drugs are suspected to have been contributing factors in the crash.
The West Virginia State Police investigation of this fatal accident still ongoing.
