LAWRENCE COUNTY FISCAL COURT HAS SPECIAL MEETING VIDEO

The Lawrence County Fiscal Court had a Special Scheduled Monthly Meeting on Thursday May 16, 2024 at the Lawrence County Court House, 122 S. Main Street, Louisa, Kentucky at 10AM. The regular meeting coincided with election day so the court moved the meeting to today (Thursday, May 16, 2024). LC Judge Executive Phillip Carter was in attendance along with LC Magistrates David Pinson, Rick Blackburn, Michael Mouse Halcomb and John Scaggs.

MINUTES FROM APRIL 2024
The Minutes from April 2024 Regular Meeting were passed unanimously with a Motion by David Pinson 2nd by Rick Blackburn. The Minutes from the Special Meeting on April 3, 2024 were skipped over by Judge Carter.

TREASURERS REPORT, REQUEST AND BILL
The Treasurers Report was passed unanimously with a Motion by David Pinson 2nd by Michael Mouse Halcomb. There was No Request by LC Treasurer Josh Puckett. Bills were approved unanimously with a Motion by Michael Mouse Halcomb 2nd by David Pinson.

FIRST READING OF BUDGET FY 2024-2025
LC Treasurer Josh Puckett had an itemized list of all Budget Entries and needs to meet with the Judge and Magistrates before the finalized budget in May 2024.

REAPPOINTMENT OF ROGER LEE JORDAN TO JAIL BOARD
This Motion was passed unanimously by Rick Blackburn and David Pinson.

REPLACEMENT OF DANIEL CASTLE WITH JOHN MAYO AS JAIL BOARD MEMBER
This motion passed unanimously by Rick Blackburn 2nd by John Scaggs.

COUNTY ROAD AID RESOLUTION
This Motion was passed unanimously by Rick Blackburn 2nd by Michael Mouse Halcomb.

AUTHORIZE TO BID GRAVEL, PIPE AND ASPHALT
This motion passed unanimously by Rick Blackburn 2nd by John Scaggs.

APPROVE SHERIFFS 2023 FRANCHISE AND PROPERTY TAX SETTLEMENTS AND TAX SETTLEMENT
All 3 Motions were passed unanimously. For the 2023 Franchise Settlement Motion was made by Rick Blackburn 2nd by Michael Mouse Halcomb. Sheriffs 2023 Property Tax Settlement was passed by David Pinson 2nd by Michael Mouse Halcomb. The Sheriffs Tax Settlement Payment was passed by Michael Mouse Halcomb 2nd by John Scaggs.

REAPPOINTMENT FOR WES KINGSMORE AND DEBBIE HILL TO THE LC TOURISM BOARD
Motion passed unanimously by Michael Mouse Halcomb 2nd by Rick Blackburn.
