October 31, 1935 — January 7, 2026

William Garrett Lowry, a man of remarkable character, passed away peacefully on January 7, 2026.

Born in Ashland, KY, on October 31, 1935, to the late Colonel and Gustava Lowry, William’s life was a testament to the power of resilience, strength, and kindness. William proudly served his country and was a proud Veteran of the US Army. He loved to be outdoors and loved to hunt and fish. His favorite pastime was playing Bingo.

In addition to his parents, William was preceded in death by his sister Donna Powell.

William is survived by his loving children, Michael Garrett Lowry and Andrea Lynn Lowry; grandson Andrew Garrett Lowry; nephew Steven Powell; and niece Ann Powell.

He was a devoted father, offering unending support and love.

Graveside services will full military honors will be conducted Thursday, January 22, 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Lowry Family Cemetery. Please feel free to leave your fond memories of William and upload photos to the memorial page to celebrate his life. His story is one of courage and love, and your shared memories can help us all remember the remarkable man he was.
