WAYNE SHERIFF’S MEN NAB TWO FUGITIVES IN FT. GAY AND WAYNE

Sheriff Rick Thompson stated that two drug suspects were arrested today in a joint operation.

Sheriff’s Thompson stated that the Wayne County Sheriff Drug Enforcement Unit, Wayne County Sheriff’s Department, Fort Gay Police Department, and WV State Police searched multiple residences searching for Joseph ‘JoJo’ Berry. Berry had three active felony warrants for Delivery of a Controlled Substance- Methamphetamine from an investigation by the Violent Crime and Drug Task Force West.

Berry was eventually located hiding in a residence in Fort Gay. Methamphetamine, Heroin, Suboxone, a digital scale, baggies for packaging controlled substances, and other drugs were seized from Berry.

The Wayne County Sheriff Drug Enforcement Unit charged Berry with three counts of Possession with Intent to Deliver.

Jennifer Napier was also arrested in the Wayne area after an investigation by the Violent Crime and Drug Task Force West. She is charged with five counts of Delivery of a Controlled Substance – Methamphetamine. She was taken into custody by road patrol deputies.

Sheriff Thompson stated that other arrests are pending from this investigation.
