(May 18, 2021) Sheriff Rick Thompson stated that one drug suspect was arrested this evening after the Wayne County Sheriff Drug Enforcement Unit interrupted a drug transaction in the Fort Gay area.
The Wayne County Sheriff Drug Enforcement Unit seized Heroin during the investigation. During the investigation Carly destroyed some evidence. A BOLO for drug activity was issued on the vehicle Carly used during the transaction in the early morning hours from the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Department KY.
Sheriff Thompson stated that Carly Skeens is charged with Delivery of a Controlled Substance- Heroin, Possession with Intent to Deliver- Heroin, and Obstructing. Carly was also wanted for a Probation Violation.
Carly Skeens has had some recent legal troubles in Lawrence County, Ky. as well. She was arrested on July 19, 2019, by the Lawrence County Sheriff Department, for drug trafficking of two grams or more of meth and possessing drug paraphernalia; and was arrested again on the same two charges by the LCSO on January 24, 2021.
On February 28, 2021, Carly Skeens was arrested by the Louisa Police Department on the felony charge of
* Receiving Stolen Property Over $10,000 or more; and also
* No Operators-Moped License and
* License not in Possession.
