WANTED MARTIN COUNTY MAN HUNTED BY STATE POLICE FOR SEVERAL WEEKS ARRESTED
IN A SEPARATE CASE, OHIO MAN TURNS HIMSELF IN AND IS ARRESTED IN MARTIN COUNTY AFTER BEING INDICTED ON CHILD SEX ABUSE CHARGES
A Martin County, Kentucky man who had been wanted for the past several weeks by the Kentucky State Police after he disappeared at the end of August to answer for human trafficking charges, has been arrested.
Dustin E. Newsome, 34, of Debord, KY., was arrested by trooper Kyle Amburgey of the Kentucky State Police Post 9-Pikeville, KY., whereupon he was transported and booked into the Big Sandy Regional Detention Center in Paintsville, KY. early Monday night.
Specific allegations against Dustin Newsome made by the KSP have not yet been made public, but court records indicated Dustin Newsome is charged with five counts of failing to report human trafficking and one count of engaging in organized crime in Johnson County, as well as related child porn charges.
Even though Dustin Newsome has been charged with serious felonies, and he had been de facto on the run from law enforcement authorities for several weeks, Dustin Newsome was able to post his bond and he was released from the BSRDC jail on Tuesday afternoon.
