Walter F. Bailey, 71, of Yellow Creek, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, August 14, 2026 at his home. Walter was born April 22, 1955 in Michigan to the late James Bailey and Betty Bailey, who survives.
Walter was a Veteran and proudly served his country in the Navy. He was a member of Yellow Creek Little Country Church and Apperson Lodge #195 F. & A.M. Walter was a retired truck driver and a member of Mineshaft Harley Davidson of Pikeville.In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his son Walter Bailey, Jr., sister Diane Costillo, and stepson Justin Fields.
Survivors include his wife Deborah Ball Bailey; mother Betty Bailey; children Terri Lee Bailey (Johnny) Billingsley, Amanda Mayue, and Mattrew (Jamie) Bailey; stepchildren Thomas (Beth) Fields and Jeremy (Amber) Fields; many grandchildren; siblings Dottie Bailey, Kay Holbrook, and Norman Bailey, and many friends.
A memorial service will be held Tuesday, August 25, 2026 at 7:00 PM at Yellow Creek Little Country Church.
Young Funeral Home has been entrusted with the care of Mr. Bailey and his family.
