UK King’s Daughters awarded Gold Level from the American Heart Association for promoting a healthy work culture

Ashland, Ky. – The American Heart Association has awarded UK King’s Daughters a national Gold level recognition for its commitments to team member health and well-being as measured in the AHA’s 2024 Workforce Well-being Scorecard™.

King’s Daughters is one of more than 500 organizations nationwide that completed the scorecard, which evaluates factors such as mental health policies and organizational well-being strategies to address burnout, health equity measures, and employee financial resources to provide a comprehensive assessment of an organization’s culture of health.

“Improving the overall health and well-being of our team members is one of our top priorities,” Jamie Parsons, UK King’s Daughters Vice President of Human Resources and Chief Human Resources Officer, said. “The Gold recognition demonstrates our dedication to building a culture that helps everyone thrive, both in and out of the workplace.”

Research has shown that supporting the mental and physical well-being of team members is vital to driving productivity, engagement and job satisfaction. By investing in a culture of health in the workplace, organizations can improve retention and bolster their organizational reputation.

“We’re proud to recognize organizations like UK King’s Daughters that have made bold moves to build workplaces where everyone can thrive,” Nancy Brown, American Heart Association CEO, said. “By completing the Well-being Works Better Scorecard, these leaders have shown an incredible dedication to the health of their businesses and communities, and their contributions are helping us bring to fruition a world of longer, healthier lives for all.”
