KENTUCKY STATE POLICE INVESTIGATES TWO FATAL COLLISION VEHICLE ACCIDENTS IN PIKE COUNTY,KY.
The Kentucky State Police are investigating two separate fatal crashes that happened just four hours apart Wednesday morning in Pike County, Kentucky.
According to the Kentucky State Police Post 9 in Pikeville, KY., they received a call on Wednesday morning, June 07, 2023, regarding the first crash involving a single vehicle that happened around 2:17 A.M. on KY Route 3174 in the Greasy Creek community area of Pike County. A trooper from KSP Post 9 responded and began the investigation. Troopers say the vehicle went off the road and that it had overturned.
The initial investigation indicated by KSP Post 9 troopers stated that the driver of that vehicle, identified as Clifford Belcher, 47, of Elkhorn City, KY., was operating a 1993 Pontiac Grand Prix on Kentucky Route 3174, when Clifford Belcher’s vehicle exited the roadway and overturned. Clifford Belcher was pronounced dead at the scene by the Pike County Coroner’s Office.KSP Post 9 Trooper Adam Pierce is investigating the collision and was assisted on scene by Lifeguard Ambulance Service and the Pike County Coroner’s Office.
A trooper from Post 9 responded and began the investigation.According to KSP Post 9, their initial investigation indicated that Jerrod Stanley, 35, of Pikeville, KY., was driving a 2015 Chevrolet Cruze that went off the roadway and overturned. Troopers say Jerrod Stanley was pronounced dead at the scene by the Pike County Coroner’s Office.
KSP Post 9 Trooper Jason McLellan is investigating the collision and was assisted on scene by Lifeguard Ambulance Service..The Kentucky State Police are still investigating both crashes. Lifeguard Ambulance Service and the Pike County Coroner’s Office assisted KSP Post 9 at both scenes.
