A Lawrence County grand jury issued indictments on April 8, 2021. Most include drugs, forgery and tampering with evidence. Two indictments for stolen vehicles were issued.
Commonwealth vs. Carlie Skeens
On or about February 28, 2021 in Lawrence County, Ky the above named defendant committed the offense of receiving stolen property under $10,000 by knowingly and unlawfully being in possession of a 2009 Nissan Frontier pick up truck, with a value of $12,000 stolen from Creek Side Course of Lavalette, WV.
Commonwealth vs. Hark Mullins
The Grand Jury charges that on or about September 14, 2020 in Lawrence County, Ky the above named defendant committed the offense of fleeing or evading the police in the first degree by knowingly or unlawfully disregarding the order of Trooper Forrest Newsome with KSP to stop who was operating in his official capacity.
Commonwealth vs. Hark Mullins
The Grand Jury charges that on or about September 14, 2020 in Lawrence County, Ky the above named defendant committed the offense of possession of a handgun by a convicted felon by possessing a Taurus .38 caliber handgun after having been previously convicted of a felony in the state of WV.
Commonwealth vs. Roxanna Price
The Grand Jury charges that on or about December 15, 2020 in Lawrence County, Ky the above named defendant committed the offense of trafficking in a controlled substance in the first degree by knowingly and unlawfully being in possession of a controlled substance (Heroin), with the intent to traffic in that controlled substance or by trafficking in a controlled substance, namely Heroin.
Commonwealth vs. Jason Goble
The Grand Jury charges that on or about January 31, 2021 in Lawrence County, Ky the above named defendant committed the offense of criminal possession of a forged instrument in the second degree by knowingly and unlawfully with the intent to defraud, deceive or injure another, utters or possesses a fraudulent or forged $100 bill and passed the fraudulent or forged bill at Twin River Wholesale of Louisa, KY.
Commonwealth vs. Sheldon Barker
The Grand Jury charges that on or about February 25, 2021 in Lawrence County, Ky the above named defendant committed the offense of theft by unlawful taking over $500 (auto) by knowingly and unlawfully taking a 2002 Honda Accord owned by Kevin Lytlle of Louisa, Ky with a value of approximately $2,000.

The Grand Jury charges that on or about June 11, 2020 in Lawrence County, Ky the above named defendant committed the offense of trafficking in a controlled substance in the first degree by knowingly and unlawfully being in possession of less than two grams of Methamphetamine, with the intent to traffic in that controlled substance or by trafficking in a controlled substance, namely Methamphetamine.
Commonwealth vs. Ricky Vance
The Grand Jury charges that on or about December 5, 2020 in Lawrence County, Ky the above named defendant committed the offense of trafficking in a controlled substance in the first degree, 2nd offense by knowingly and unlawfully being in possession of Methamphetamine, with the intent to traffic in that controlled substance or by trafficking in that controlled substance, namely Methamphetamine. Also being charged as a persistent felony offender in the 2nd degree.
Commonwealth vs. Peyton M. Kise
The Grand Jury charges that on or about October 15, 2020 in Lawrence County, Ky the above named defendant committed the offense of possession of a controlled substance in the first degree by knowingly and unlawfully being in possession of a controlled substance, Methamphetamine. Also being charged of possession/drug paraphernalia by knowingly and unlawfully being in possession of digital scales, scoops containing residue and syringes.
Commonwealth vs. Jonathan Young
The Grand Jury charges that on or about March 1, 2021 in Lawrence County, Ky the above named defendant committed the offense of possession of a controlled substance in the first degree by knowingly and unlawfully being in possession of a controlled substance, Methamphetamine. Also being charged with tampering with physical evidence by knowingly and unlawfully destroying, removing, altering or concealing physical evidence that he believed would be used against him in an official proceeding.

The Grand Jury charges that on or about March 1, 2021 in Lawrence County, Ky the above named defendant committed the offense of possession of a controlled substance in the first degree by knowingly and unlawfully being in possession of a controlled substance, Heroin. Also being charged with tampering with physical evidence by knowingly and unlawfully destroying, removing, altering or concealing physical evidence that she believed would be used against her in an official proceeding.

The Grand Jury charges that on or about February 7, 2021 in Lawrence County, Ky the above named defendant committed the offense of trafficking in a controlled substance in the first degree by knowingly and unlawfully being in possession of a controlled substance, Methamphetamine, empty baggies, and a digital scale, with the intent to traffic in that controlled substance or by trafficking in a controlled substance, named Methamphetamine. Jason Hodge committed the offense of trafficking in a controlled substance in the first degree by knowingly and unlawfully being in possession of a controlled substance, Heroin, with the intent to traffic in that controlled substance or by trafficking in that controlled substance namely, Heroin. Also committing the offense of tampering with physical evidence by knowingly and unlawfully destroying, removing, altering, or concealing physical evidence that he believed would be used against him in an official proceeding.
