Also on December 7, 2019 the Louisa PD and FD held their annual Toy Drive for Toys for Tots at Walmart of Louisa, KY. They were at Cash Express on December 6, 2019.
Louisa Police Chief Greg Fugitt said he would like to thank everyone for their toy donations. He said they will be having the annual Toy Giveaway on December 21, 2019 at the Fire Department by the bus garage. It will begin at 9 a.m. The only thing you will need is verification of how many children are in the household, example ..food stamp letter or form.
Verification Forms and Rules are:
o Valid Kentucky ID showing that you are a resident of Lawrence County…
o Tax forms or SNAP assistance forms that show number of dependents under the age of 16
o Number of toys per child is solely based on amount of donations received.
o First come first serve basis, parents can line up on sidewalk next to fire station, dress for the weather, rain/cold as for we do not have room in fire station for everyone to wait in line.
o Please do not bring your child, this makes it hard if toys are limited to tell them no.
o Most workers are volunteers so treat them with respect, any cussing, line jumping, or other disturbance you will be asked to leave and will not be allowed to participate in the event
Anyone who didn’t get a chance to drop off a toy or monetary gift to buy toys with, can still do so by dropping them off at Cash Express, the Police station or fire Department. Thanks to the Louisa PD and FD for helping out our community children!
