Tolsia Upended At Rock Hill; Headed To St. Joe This Weekend

Pedro, Ohio — In a Saturday afternoon affair the Tolsia ( 1-2 ) Lady Rebels dropped a 46-41 contest against Rock Hill on the road. 

Tolsia Juniors and Sophomore 

Kilee Preece, Jacey Crum, Olivia Kelly 

Jacey Crum led the Lady Rebels with 11 points including 3 three pointers. 

Emily Artrip tallied 10 points, Olivia Kelly added 8 points, Amber Stevens, Kalynn Salmons, Carly Johnson and Greenlee Vance had 3 points each. 

Tolsia hit 7 three pointers and went 10 of 15 from the free throw line. 

Tug Valley 59 Tolsia 35 ( Thursday ) 

In the home opener at Rebel Arena the Lady Rebels fell to the Tug Valley Panthers. 

The Rebels were led by Emily Artrip and Piper Pack with 7 points each, Kalynn Salmons and Carly Johnson had 6 points each, Jacey Crum added 4 points, Olivia Kelly had 3 points, Amber Stevens chipped in with 2 points. 

Tolsia hit 3 three pointers and went 8 of 18 from the free throw line.

The Panthers were led by Kenzie Browning with 19 points, Bailey Hall had 18 points, Haven Deskins 12 points, Kylie Deboard 9 points, Katie Hall 1 point.

Tug Valley hit 4 three pointers and went 17 of 24 from the free throw line.

Kalynn Salmons, Carly Johnson, Greenlee Vance, Piper Pack

The Rebels will travel to Huntington on Saturday to play St. Joseph at 7:00.

COACH’S COMMENTS

“… I thought we were really competitive but we just didn’t make enough shots. We had our chances but came up short.” 

“… Against Tug Valley we couldn’t get enough stops. Give them credit, Coach Ooten does a great job and they added a couple of pieces from last season and have a very good team.”
