Tolsia Softball victorious over Huntington St. Joe and Phelps before falling at Capital

Charleston, W.V. The Tolsia softball team dropped to 5-13 on the season after a 6-2 loss against Capital on Saturday afternoon. 

2026 Rebel Juniors

Jaiden Keene and Kaylin Spaulding 

Kalynn Salmons pitched well in defeat tossing seven innings, four earned runs, walked three and struck out ten Cougars. On offense she had two hits and scored a run. 

Kilee Preece had three hits, Carly Johnson had two hits, Ava Lyons had one hit and scored a run Jayda Addow singled and walked. 

Tolsia 21 Phelps 0 

Kalynn Salmons tossed a three inning no-hitter on the road against the Hornets with five strike outs and one walk. On offense she hit two triples, walked twice, scored four runs and stole four bases.

Carly Johnson walked four times, scored four runs and stole two bases, Chloe Horn walked three times and scored three runs, Kilee Preece singled, walked twice and scored two runs, Ava Lyons singled, scored twice and stole two bases, Jaiden Keene singled, walked and scored two runs, Kaylin Spaulding singled. 

2026 Rebel Sophomores 

Kalynn Salmons, Emily Marcum, Macy Daniels Carly Johnson, Bailee Belt 

Tolsia 17 Huntington St. Joe 

Kalynn Salmons struck out seven, allowed three hits and walked none to get the win in the circle for the Rebels at home. Salmons also had two hits and scored two runs. 

Carly Johnson had three hits and scored four runs, Jaiden Keene had two hits and scored four runs, Chole  Horn and Kilee Preece had two hits and scored two runs each, Maddie Meddings doubled and scored a run, Ava Lyons and Jada Addie singled and scored a run each, Peyton Johnson walked and scored a run. 

The Rebels will return to action on Tuesday at Paintsville and then host Mingo Central on Friday.
