Tolsia Softball mercies Mingo Central for third straight win

Fort Gay, W. Va. The Tolsia Softball team improved to 10-8 on the season with a 12-4 victory over Mingo Central on Monday evening.

Tolsia trailed 4-1 before scoring 11 unanswered runs to beat Mingo Central.
Ava Lyons went 3-3 with two doubles, three RBI’s and a run scored, Carly Johnson singled and scored three runs, Keira Maynard singled and scored two runs, Jaiden Keene and Kendra Maynard singled, Cloey Horn, Maddie Meddings and Bailee Belt scored a run each.
Kalynn Salmons was the winning pitcher tossing all five innings, she also walked three times and scored three runs.
Ava Lyons ropes a double against Mingo Central
On Saturday the Rebels traveled to Van and swept the Bulldogs in a doubleheader.
In the first game it was Tolsia winning 7-2 behind Kalynn Salmons who was the winning pitcher with a seven inning complete game in the circle and went 3-4 with an inside the park homer and a double.
Keira Maynard went 3-4 with a double, two runs batted in and a run scored, Jaiden Keene singled and scored two runs, Carly Johnson doubled and scored a run, Cloey Horn singled, Ava Lyons and Maddie Meddings scored a run.

In the second game the Rebels pounded out 13 hits and cruised to a 14-5 victory.
Carly Johnson and Jaiden Keene had three hits and scored two runs each, Keira Maynard had two hits and scored a run, Cloey Horn and Maddie Meddings singled and scored two runs, Kendra Maynard singled and scored a run, Bailee Belt singled and Ava Lyons scored a run.

The Rebels will host West Carter on Wednesday at 6:00 and Belfry on Thursday at 7:30.
