Tolsia Softball advances in Region play after run-ruling Hannan: Host Calhoun County Friday night

Glenhayes, W.V. Tolsia ( 7-18 ) avoided elimination with a 18-1 five inning mercy rule victory over Hannan ( 3-19 ) in the Region 4 Softball tournament Thursday.

Kalynn Salmons picked up the victory with five innings of work, allowed three hits, no earned runs and struck out eleven Wildcats. At the plate Salmons singled, walked twice, drove in one and scored two runs.

Jaiden Keene had two hits including a triple, drove in three runs and scored twice, Maddie Meddings had two hits including a double, drove in one run and scored three times, Jaida Addow had two hits one RBI and two runs scored, Chloe Horn had two hits including a double and scored two runs, Kilee Preece and Carly Johnson had two hits, two RBI’s and scored two runs each, Macy Daniel singled, scored a run and drove in one, Ava Lyons walked twice and scored a run.

The #5 seeded Rebels will host #8 seed Calhoun County on Friday evening at 6:00. With a win they will travel to #1 Gilmer Co. on Saturday afternoon.
