PLAYER’S COMMENTS
“…I am extremely excited to be back with my team, that being said the stress and many tears that came with not knowing if we was going to have a season was overwhelming to say the least.”
“… It was between Alice Lloyd, KCU, and Tech. I chose Tech because Coach Anna was always staying connected with me throughout the recruitment process we was at the least talking 2-3 times a week, and it wasn’t always about basketball it ranged from my favorite sports teams to what I liked to do outside of basketball. Not only did the coach play into it the academics did as well, I did multiple researches about their biology program and came to find out it is a great program. And during my visit I loved how it felt like one big family and I wasn’t even apart of the team yet.”
“… This is the moment I have been working and waiting for, I have put a lot of time and thought into this decision. I just want to first and foremost thank God for all he has blessed me with. Coach Anna, thank you for this wonderful opportunity to continue my basketball career and further my education!! I am beyond excited to play for the Golden Bears. I want to thank all my teammates throughout the years on all the different teams i’ve been a part of!! I want to give big thank you to all of these special people who have put time and effort into coaching me at what I love doing and as a person as a whole: Jodi Burgess (famous tech alumnus), Mike, Hannah, Patty and all the parents that worked to help us and the WV Dream, Frank Martin, Mark Cisco, Carla Booth, Jim Clayton, Roman Watts, Ashley Vanhoose, Edwin May, Chad Baisden, and Burley Maynard. I would also like to thank all of my grandparents for they have always supported me through all I have done. Mom and Dad, thank you so much for all you both have taught me and done for me, I will forever be thankful for everything you all do for me and all you both sacrifice for me. I couldn’t have asked for better parents. Last but not least Ric Morrone, Jennifer Jude, Ernie Richardson, BoBo Salmons, and all my LFR teammates, thank you and I love you all, but we’ve got some goals to reach, lets get to work and finish this chapter in Charleston!!!
Go Bears!!!

COACH’S COMMENTS
“… I couldn’t be prouder of Julie, she has worked as hard as anyone on the court, in the classroom and in the community. She truly represents what Lady Rebel Basketball has always stood for. Julie is a great player, a leader and an even better person and role-model for young people . She shows that hard work and persistence definitely pays off. WVU-Tech and Coach Kowalska are getting a great player that will add to their program immediately . Julie’s skill set is tailor-made for the college game and we are excited to see how far she can take it. It has truly been a blessing for me and my staff to have been a small part of her journey.”
