COACH’S COMMENTS
“… We went fourteen or fifteen days without touching a baseball after getting the victory on May 3rd, you know as well as I do that you have to be swinging a bat just about everyday. We came back on Tuesday and it looked like we were trying to kill bats out there. On Wednesday they came back focused and ready it was a much much better practice. Then we went to Charleston and picked up nineteen hits and then came back tonight and probably had twenty hits. So proud of our kids all year long.”
“…Josh Wilson cruised in the first inning and we got nine in the bottom of the first and then he hit the first three batters in the second and we made a couple errors and give them credit they battled back to get the lead. After that I thought our stayed the course and kept stringing good at bats together and we kept putting pressure on them throughout the game.”
“… Devin Stull did a good job in relief to keep them at bay and then Dusty Bailey closed it out in the seventh inning. Hopefully we can start to play some games and get back into a routine. We have a tough schedule the rest of the way but it should prepare us for postseason play. Our section is brutal like always.”
