Tolsia Head Coach Jeff Wallace
COACH’S COMMENTS…
“… It’s an awesome feeling, we played them early in the year and let one slip away. We jumped out on them again and they stormed back to take the lead. I talked to them going into the bottom of the sixth and asked them if you want it to happen again and they responded in a big way. We have let some games slip away late in games and this one we closed it out. So proud of our guys for not giving up and getting this win”
“… Our kids are on cloud nine right now. The seniors took a couple of pounding a couple years ago and these seniors deserve it. Hopefully we can turn the corner now. This win feels really good. I coached at Wayne for 14 years and I know what kind of program they have.”
Tolsia Senior Eric Williams
SENIOR PLAYER’S COMMENTS
“… I’m so happy to get one in the books against Wayne it’s been a very long time. They beat us up pretty good when we were younger. I think our team is starting to buy in to what Coach Wallace is saying and it is paying off. We are taking a better approach at the plate. Trying to go to right field and taking a two strike approach a lot.”
