Three Rivers Medical Center Celebrates 50 Years of Service

LOUISA, KY (Nov. 11, 2024)—Three Rivers Medical Center (TRMC) celebrated its 50th anniversary, honoring five decades of care to Louisa and its neighboring communities. The milestone event highlighted the hospital’s history, impact on the community, and unwavering commitment to providing compassionate, local healthcare.

The celebration included remarks from hospital leaders, local and state officials, and community members; as well as a special tribute to long-serving staff who have been instrumental in shaping the hospital’s legacy of care, including 50-year employees Connie Sammons and Ramona Hatfield.

Speakers included:

  • Greg Kiser, CEO of Three Rivers Medical Center
  • Dr. Norman Edwards, Retired Family Practice Physician
  • Phillip Carter, Lawrence County Judge Executive
  • Harold Slone, Mayor of Louisa
  • Rocky Adkins, Senior Advisor to the Governor of Kentucky
  • Dr. Marc Workman, Family Practice Physician

With entertainment including:

  • Will Case
  • Laid Back Country Picker and Honey

Through 50 years, the hospital’s services have received national recognition with an HCAHPS 4-Star rating and from organizations like The Joint Commission, American College of Cardiology Accreditation, American Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy, and American College of Radiology.
