MAYNARDS, GRACE INDICTED
PIKEVILLE, Ky. — MARCH 2, 2017 – Three Martin County residents have been indicted on charges that they stole explosives manufacturer last year.
According to the indictment, 38-year-old James D. Maynard II and 36-year-old Dallas T. Maynard, both of Pilgrim, along with 34-year-old Tiffany L. Grace, of Inez, aided and abetted each other in stealing a fuel-oil blasting agent from Austin Powder-Appalachia in January of 2016.
All three have been charged with stealing explosives and possessing stolen explosives. The Maynards are also accused of possessing explosives despite previous felony convictions.
Each of the charges carries a maximum penalty of 10 years in prison and $250,000 in fines. Grace and James Maynard are currently being held in the Pike County Detention Center, while Dallas Maynard is being held in the Big Sandy Regional Detention Center.
James Maynard is scheduled to appear in court to answer the charges tomorrow.
