The Lawrence County Fiscal Court had a Special Meeting on Tuesday September 1, 2026 at 10AM at the Lawrence County Courthouse, Downtown 2nd Floor, Louisa, Kentucky 41230. LC Judge Executive Phillip Carter was in attendance along with the LC Magistrates including Rick Blackburn, Michael Mouse Halcomb and David Pinson (via FaceTime).
APPROVE BILLS
The Bills were unanimously passed with a Motion by Rick Blackburn and seconded by Michael Mouse Halcomb.
SET 2026 COUNTY TAX RATE OF REAL ESTATE, TANGIBLE AND DOCUMENTED WATERCRAFT AND AIRCRAFT
The County Tax Rate was set at 16.3% with a Motion by Rick Blackburn and seconded by Michael Mouse Halcomb. None Opposed.
SET 2026 MOTOR VEHICLE AND WATERCRAFT TAX RATE
The Car and boat tax rate of 16.4% was unanimously passed with a Motion by Michael Mouse Halcomb and seconded by Rick Blackburn.
ACCEPT SPECIAL DISTRICTS TAX RATES
The Special Districts Tax Rate was accepted by the Fiscal Court. Motion to accept by Rick Blackburn and seconded by Michael Mouse Halcomb. None Opposed. Below is a copy of the 2026 Tax Rates:
AUTHORIZE GUTS NOT TO PRINT ANY BILL LESS THAN $10.00
Guts is the program the LC Clerk Chris Jobe uses. This will authorize GUTS not to print bills less than $10.00 Motion by Michael Mouse Halcomb and seconded by Rick Blackburn. None Opposed.
