Sullivan University Louisa Learning Center Grand Opening March 12….discounted tuition rate offered
Louisa, KY. — The long awaited opening of the Louisa Learning Center of Sullivan University will take place Saturday, March 12, from 11:00 am – 2:30 pm, with a grand opening ceremony, and open house.
The learning center, located in the annex building which adjoins the Lawrence County Courthouse in downtown Louisa, will be Sullivan’s home in eastern Kentucky.
Initially, the center will offer a computer class one evening a week, as well as a computer lab where students may work. All online classes will also be available. The learning center will start out small, but as it grows, more on site classes will be added.
During Saturday’s open house, people will get a tour of the building, learn all about Sullivan University, and get to talk to personnel about admissions, financial planning, student services, and much more.
Sullivan will offer a discounted tuition rate for the Louisa Learning Center, making it comparable to other area colleges. Offering everything from a certificate to a doctorate degree, Sullivan University is an excellent educational opportunity for Lawrence County and the surrounding area.
Sullivan is committed to students and does everything they can to help them succeed. Allen Rose, Vice President of Business & Government Relations, said “We look forward to being in Louisa and want to be involved in the community.”
County Judge Executive, John Osborne, had the idea to recruit a college to occupy the annex building. “Education is the key to a lot of opportunities for us here in this area” he said.
“This project has been a year in the making” said Economic Development Coordinator, Catrina Vargo, who will be promoting Sullivan University. “This is going to be a great asset for Lawrence County and the entire region.”
Everyone is invited to attend the open house/grand opening event this Saturday. A ribbon cutting will take place and refreshments will be served.
