The Bulldogs will face Floyd Central ( 16-10 ) in the championship game slated for 6:00 on Tuesday at Stonecrest Sports Park. The Jaguars beat Prestonsburg 11-2 in the second game on Monday.

Bulldog Head Coach Sam Sparks

COACH’S COMMENTS

“… The score of the game really doesn’t surprise me at all. When you face a pitcher like that you have to be disciplined and that hasn’t been one of our strengths this year. We did just enough to get by and that is what matters in an elimination game.”

“… We are now guaranteed to play next week in the region. Not as pretty as we had hoped but after the first inning Taylor ( Blevins ) didn’t allow another run. And we got some timely hits to get the win.”

“… Give a lot of credit to Betsy Layne for taking us the distance and their pitcher for keeping us off balance.”
