Louisa, Ky. — Lawrence County Softball will head to Owensboro to compete in the Class 2A State Tournament after splitting four games this past week.

The Dawgs fell behind early and never recovered against the Vikings at home.
Emalynn Kitts continued her hot hitting with three knocks including a double and a run scored. Jada Patton singled and had one RBI, Leah Branham and Brinley Baisden also singled for the Bulldogs.
Taylor Blevins suffered the loss in the circle leaving after one inning of work.

Brinley Baisden, Jada Patton, Ella Smith, Emalynn Kitts all homered as the Bulldogs pummeled the Bobcats on the road and stayed perfect in District play with a 5-0 record.
Taylor Blevins pitched one inning, allowed one hit and struck out one, Brinley Baisden went three innings, gave up no hits, no walks and struck out seven.
Brinley Baisden grand slam, single, six runs batted in and scored twice to lead to Dawgs. Jada Patton homered, singled, two runs batted in and scored three times, Emalynn Kitts homered, drove in two and scored twice, Ella Smith homered, knocked in three and scored a run , Lexi Crum one hit and two runs scored, Addison Bowen one hit and one run scored, Millie Sammons two hits including a double and two runs batted in, Laila Dolen doubled, l picked in one and scored three times, Gracie Woods one hit and two runs scored, Baleigh Blackburn one hit, Leah Branham one hit and one run scored, Taylor Blevins one hit, Braylee Triplett one RBI, Aleaha Gillispie and Madison Nix one run scored each.

In the second game of the Babe Pollitt Showcase the Bulldogs beat the host Lions behind a Jada Patton grand slam.
Brinley Baisden went the distance and picked up the win, she allowed 11 hits, two earned runs, struck out five and didn’t walk a batter. Baisden also doubled and drove in a run at the plate.
Jada Patton had two hits including a homer and a double, four RBI’s, and and two runs scored, Ella Smith doubled and scored two runs, Baleigh Blackburn and Skyler Horn singled and scored a run, Addalyn Woods had one RBI, Aleaha Gillispie, Millie Sammons and Gracie Woods had a hit each, Lexi Crum scored two runs, Addison Bowen scored a run.

In the first game of the Babe Pollitt Showcase at Lewis Co. the Cards held the Dawgs to one run on two hits.
The only offense the Bulldogs could muster was a Jada Patton homer and a Leah Branham single.
Braylee Triplett was the losing pitcher in the circle for Lawrence County.

Lawrence County ( 11-4 ) will open State Tournament play at 1:45 central time versus Section 3 winner North Oldham ( 6–6 ) at Jack C. Fisher Park in Owensboro on Friday afternoon. The Lazer will have it covered
