The SoccerDawgs improved to 18-1 on the season and Johnson Central ended their season at 17-3.
The only goal of the game came with around 17 minutes to go in the first half as Jordan Stepp found Hayleah Fletcher who booted it in the net.
The LCHS defense was once again as good as advertised in pitching another shutout.
In the second semifinal Prestonsburg ( 16-6 ) was all over Belfry with a 9-1 victory.
Lawrence Co. and Prestonsburg will play for the 15th Region Championship Thursday night in Pikeville at 7:00. The two teams met once in the regular season with the Bulldogs winning 3-0 in Louisa on September 10th.

COACH’S COMMENTS
“… Hard fought game between two talented teams. I can’t say enough about the team effort in this win against JC. Hayleah Fletcher came up huge for us getting the only goal of the game (assisted by Jordan Stepp) and with 8 seconds to play Ally Moore knocked away what would’ve been the game tying goal. Absolutely unbelievable save from Ally Moore.”
“… We have said all season we are gonna take it one game at a time and this next game is the one we have been playing for all season long. I couldn’t be more proud to be a part of this team. The effort they have put forth all season is second to none. Come out and support your Lady Dawgs as they play for the 15th Region Championship Thursday 7:00 at Pikeville.”
