Louisa, Ky — Lawrence Co. Senior Soccer player Sarah Lycans will continue her academic and athletic career just down the road in Huntington at Marshall University after signing with the Thundering Herd at the LCHS Library in front of family, friends and teammates Monday.
Lycans had an outstanding four year career for the SoccerDawgs who went 67-14 with Lycans leading the way.
Marshall will be under the direction of new Head Coach Micheal Swan in 2020. The Thundering Herd competes in Conference USA and went 4-14 in 2019.

COACH’S COMMENTS
“… Sarah has been a huge part of the success that we have had during her 4 years as a varsity starter here at LCHS. One of the most versatile players I have had the pleasure of coaching. We moved her from her normal center back position to our target player and she answered the call very well scoring 50 goals her senior season.”
“… I have had the pleasure of coaching her early in youth league, middle school and high school and I will say she was one of the fiercest competitors that opposing teams faced but respected. We wish Sarah the best as she continues her playing and academic career at Marshall University. The future is bright for her and we can’t wait to see her play at the next level.”
