Slide repair starts today on KY 3398 in Lawrence County
PIKEVILLE, Ky. (Oct. 4, 2021) – A three-week slide repair project starts today on KY 3398 (Fullers Hill Road) in Lawrence County.
The site is at the mile marker 1.2, GeoStabilization International (GSI), the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet contractor who specializes in soil nail ground stabilization, will be performing the work.
“This project is being completed due to an approximate 300’ long slide area and is needed to stabilize the hillside and roadway areas,” per Todd Moran, Lawrence County highway technician superintendent II. Drivers should expect extended delays due to equipment utilizing the roadway for repairs.
Drivers are encouraged to utilize KY 3 as an alternate route and to avoid the area if possible. Drivers should slow down when approaching the work zone. Be mindful of the workers and other vehicles that are slowing to navigate through the work zone.
