LPD Chief explains Septemberfest traffic patterns
September 4, 2019 – Once again it is time for Louisa/Lawrence County’s Annual Septemberfest and the traffic will remain the same as it has been for the past two years. Vinson Street will be ONE WAY running south to the north and ALL Detoured Traffic will be diverted to Lady Washington Street. We anticipate more vendors, rides and attractions so parking will continue to be an issue. Please remember do not block any driveways, streets nor local business. Also use extra caution due to the high volume of pedestrian traffic.
Safety Tips:
DO NOT LEAVE VALUABLES IN YOUR VEHICLE
ALWAYS CROSS STREETS WITH CAUTION
DO NOT LEAVE SMALL CHILDREN UNATTENDED
HYDRATE WITH WATER OR ELECTROLITES
REMEMBER 911 IS FOR EMERGENCIES AND NOT TO ASK WHAT TIME THE PARADE STARTS (WHICH IS 11AM, LINE UP AT 9AM)
EXPECT TRAFFIC DELAYS DURING THE PARADE AND PLEASE FOLLOW POLICE OR SAFETY OFFICERS INSTRUCTIONS
Thank you and we hope everyone has and safe enjoyable weekend!!
