Provides details on how to receive legislative updates, 

share thoughts with lawmakers

FRANKFORT, KY. (Jan. 6, 2026) — As the Constitution of Kentucky calls for convening the 2026 Legislative Session on Tuesday, January 6, in Frankfort, Sen. Phillip Wheeler, R-Pikeville, of the 31st Senate District, urges constituents to stay informed and engaged in the legislative process. The 2026 Legislative Session is a constitutionally required 60-day budget session, in which lawmakers will be required to implement a new two-year state spending and road plan.

RECEIVE UPDATES

Wheeler encourages constituents to sign up for legislative updates from his office. By staying informed, constituents can actively shape legislative outcomes that directly impact the communities of Elliott, Johnson, Lawrence, Martin, and Pike Counties. To receive timely updates from Wheeler’s office, please consider signing up using THIS LINK, or by going to the senator’s profile on the Legislative Research Commission (LRC) profile and clicking “Join My Mailing List” to the right of the screen. To receive updates from the Senate Majority Caucus, please visit KYSenateGOP.com and add your email to the landing page.

CONTACT LAWMAKERS

Residents can also use the LRC legislative message line at 800-372-7181. This platform enables constituents to send messages to their respective state representatives and senators, and express their support or opposition to specific legislation.
