FRANKFORT, KY. (Jan. 6, 2026) — As the Constitution of Kentucky calls for convening the 2026 Legislative Session on Tuesday, January 6, in Frankfort, Sen. Phillip Wheeler, R-Pikeville, of the 31st Senate District, urges constituents to stay informed and engaged in the legislative process. The 2026 Legislative Session is a constitutionally required 60-day budget session, in which lawmakers will be required to implement a new two-year state spending and road plan. By staying informed, constituents can actively shape legislative outcomes that directly impact the communities of Elliott, Johnson, Lawrence, Martin, and Pike Counties.
