The Dawgs ( 5-1 ) will venture back into District play next Friday with a trip to Powell County ( 3-3 ).

The Royals ( 2-4 ) will travel to Harrison County ( 1-5 ) for a District matchup.

Bulldog Head Coach Alan Short

COACH’S COMMENTS

“… We certainly challenged them at halftime, we weren’t playing very smart football in the first half. We had three offsides penalties, threw an interception and fumbled the football. And we got beat deep twice, it wasn’t a great half for us. It wasn’t up to our standards and we challenged them and really proud of the way they responded.”

“… I don’t think it was a letdown at all. We had a really good week of practice and felt like we got better, we just didn’t play up to our standards the first half. It just wasn’t us out there and that is disappointing but we picked it up and played a lot better.”

“… Next week will be our first game on grass in two years so we will practice on grass this week to get used to it. Certainly looking forward to the challenge of Powell County.”
