On Thursday June 2, 2022 the Lawrence County Cooperative Extension Office (LCCEO) held an Open House welcoming the community with food and drinks with time to meet the newest Agent, Sarah Deal.
Ms. Deal is the East Region Family Consumer Science Agent at Lawrence County Cooperative Extension Service.
She is from Compton in Wolfe County, Kentucky.
Here is how Sarah introduced herself on FB:
“…Hello Lawrence County! My name is Sarah Deal and I’m your new Family & Consumer Sciences Extension Agent.
I graduated with my Bachelor’s degree in Child & Family Studies at Berea College. I am a former Wolfe County resident, and can’t wait to meet the community and start programming.
If there are any activities or events you would like to see our office put on, feel free to schedule a meeting, call, or email. Extension Services strives to serve you and provide you with research and information you need to live a healthy life. I am pleased to be here and all of us here at the office are looking forward to a great summer.”

Could someone list some things that the extension office offers to our county before KAG has a fit again? Apparently KAG doesn’t raise a garden or farm, work in bees, etc.
Raised a garden my whole life never went to the extension for anything still have NO clue what they do except keep the pavers in business
