President Trump & Republicans Deliver for KY While Dems Pursue Partisan Impeachment Charade
By Republican Party of Kentucky Chairman Mac Brown
A few weeks ago, I accompanied Attorney General Daniel Cameron and other GOP leaders to file President Trump’s ballot paperwork in Kentucky. It is an honor to serve as chairman of the Republican Party of Kentucky and our Party proudly stands behind President Trump and his administration’s accomplishments for our state and country. Because of his leadership and popularity, President Trump is the only Republican presidential candidate on the ballot in Kentucky this year.
Significant reforms such as the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act, the new United States–Mexico–Canada Agreement, and the historic Phase-One Trade Agreement with China show that President Trump is fighting relentlessly to level the playing field at home and abroad for American businesses and workers. Reforms like these are bringing more jobs and opportunities to Kentucky, like remarkably low unemployment, record-breaking workforce participation and private-sector investment and more.
Meanwhile, President Trump is also standing up to terrorists with American blood on their hands, by eliminating Qassem Soleimani, while putting forth a bold new approach for peace in the Middle East. This administration’s leadership at home and abroad shows that President Donald Trump will never stop fighting for Kentucky and America.
While President Trump and Republicans continue to fight for what is right, the Democrats unfortunately continue to pursue what has become a partisan impeachment crusade. From the moment the Democrats took control of the U.S. House of Representatives, they’ve focused on undoing the results of the 2016 election through impeachment.
While the Constitution gives Congress the solemn responsibility of oversight, impeachment should be considered the last resort not the first. Further, the way impeachment was embraced by the Democrats not only weaponized the process for future political conflicts, but blurs the roles of the House and Senate. The role of the House of Representatives is to investigate and the Senate’s duty is to conduct a trial based on the case presented by the House, not to further the investigation.
Because the Democrats rushed the process they have built their case on hearsay and very few facts. Consequently they are calling for the Senate to continue the investigation by calling for new witnesses, for new information, not just to clarify key points in their case. This sets a bad precedent for the future.
Because Nancy Pelosi and her Democrats have shown their impeachment crusade to be anything but honest, they have divided our country in a very dangerous way. After bemoaning the alleged urgency of the House’s investigation, Speaker Pelosi dragged her feet for a month before sending the articles of impeachment to the Senate. The only purpose for this was to drag out this process in the press. Additionally, she initially recognized that impeachment should be “overwhelming and bipartisan”. However, because of the way they conducted the process in the House, the case was not overwhelming and the articles only passed on partisan lines. Not a single Republican, including our Kentucky GOP members of the House, voted for impeachment.
Consequently, if the House Democrats had done their job fairly in the first place, chances are we would be united around the truth and we wouldn’t be faced with a partisan, political impeachment process that threatens our country’s unity. Fortunately for Kentucky and America, our Bluegrass State’s Senators Mitch McConnell and Rand Paul continue to stand up against the unfair, partisan tactics of the Democrats as the case goes through the Senate trial.
It is a shame that the Democrats have taken our country down this road, dividing the public and distracting us from the real results of President Trump and his administration and turning the once-grave recourse of impeachment into nothing but a partisan, political ax to grind.
Sadly the Democrats have selected to use the impeachment process for political purposes; to impact the 2020 elections in their favor. Fortunately, Kentuckians can let their voice be heard in 2020 – by voting to reelect President Donald Trump, Senator McConnell, our Republican candidates for the U.S. House Representatives, and expand our GOP state legislative supermajorities. By recognizing the accomplishments of our Republican leaders and sending more of them to Frankfort and Washington, the voters will deliver to the Democrats a clear message: the people have had enough of these partisan games and our leaders need to get back to work.

Very well written. Finally, we have an article written by someone with some sense.
The democrats have had a vendetta against Trump from the day he was elected. As Trump has said, “a witch hunt.” They have wasted valuable time and a tremendous amount of taxpayer money. It sickens me. The democrats knew from the beginning that they would not be successful in removing Trump from office, yet they pursued this in an attempt to make Trump look bad. A political move. Many believe that this will actually backfire on the democrats. I hope so.
This latest fiasco cost the American taxpayer $308 Million Super. For NOTHING!
there you go again Charley spreading lies
the democrats investigation cost as of dec 18th 2019 $3.06 million compared to the Republican witch hunt in 1994 $80 million
the source is from State Run TV

Fast and furious, emails, IRS and Benghazi were not witch hunts KAG, Hillary lied and Americans did die, ant the rest were legit investigations as well, so that part sure isn’t rurrrrrrr!
The Republicans have delivered tax breaks for the rich, debt that will cripple the country, as well as lowering Medicare reimbursements to the point that small market hospitals who have a large number of Medicare and Medicaid are being forced to close I.e. Our Lady of Bellefonte.
But I will congratulate them for being expert lairs and terrific con men!
just wait if he get’s a second term that’s when he will go after the debt
social security and medicare it’s coming
Like Obozo robbed Medicare to make his deficit look smaller KAG?
Carl you are uninformed, stupid or both, I’m leaning in the direction of both. How the hell can you explain something like “Saggy Pillolsi”, Adam Schitt and the squat, do you honestly think these fools represent the interests of America? If so, you are sadly mistaken! Commiecrats all need to be deported to a third world country, so they can see how things really work in a Socialist utopia, the first time AOC gets up and starts her stupid mouth she gets beheaded. Not that anyone would notice the difference! This nation is thriving, and the king of commiecrats (Obozo) had nothing to do with it. You and your party are a scar on this great nation, and November is going to bring a change you weren’t planning on or smart enough to see coming.
Other ways around it. 🤪
