Roger Doss, Jr., 44, of Fort Gay, WV went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, May 27, 2026.
Roger was born August 13, 1981 to Roger and Loretta (Sammons) Doss. Roger was a machine operator for CSX. He was a true outdoorsman, and loved anything in nature. Roger attended Oak Grove Church and was recently baptized.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife Whitney Doss; son Elijah Doss; sisters Sherry (Scott) Hensley, Tammy (Roy) Hunt, and Ann (John) Nolan; nieces and nephews Levi, Lindsey, Sydney, Skylar, Sophie, Brandon, Ivy and Skylar; great nieces and nephews Lily, Jaxon, Josie, Emily, Everly, Zane, Aurora, and Hunner; and a host of cousins and friends.
Funeral services will be conducted Monday, June 1, 2026 at 11:00 AM in the Young Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Mack Ray Cyrus officiating. Burial will follow in Doss Hill Cemetery.
Friends may visit the family on Sunday, May 31, 2026 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM in the Young Funeral Home Chapel.
