Robert F. Wellman, 85, of Louisa, KY, formerly of Fort Gay, WV passed away on Saturday, January 25, 2025.

 

He was born December 15, 1939 to Clarence and Vangie (Thompson) Wellman. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Oma (Jervis) Wellman; siblings and their spouses Mary (Boyd) Selbee, Thomas (Lorrie) Wellman, Frank (Jo) Wellman, and Charles (Garnet) Wellman; and brother in law Ralph Thompson.

 

Robert is survived by his daughter Sandy (Randy) Chimento of Wadsworth, OH; sister Annabelle Thompson of Wadsworth, OH; many nieces and nephews; and Thelma Frasher.

 

Thank you Darrell Frasher for helping out and taking care of Dad these last couple of years. Dad thought of you like a son. I am forever grateful.

 

“Pop, When I became your daughter, you called me sunshine. Now you are shining down on me from the Heavens. I miss you already. I’ll love you forever.”

 

Graveside services will be conducted Thursday, January 30, 2025 at 10:00 AM at Yatesville Memorial Gardens with Pastor Darin Fetherolf officiating.

 

Young Funeral Home has been entrusted with the care of Mr. Wellman and his family.
