REBELS WIN THIRD IN A ROW
FT. GAY. WVA. — Even a muddy field couldn’t slow down #14 Tolsia ( 4-2 ) as the Rebels handled South Harrison ( 1-5 ) by the score of 32-14 on Friday night at Wilt Salmons Field.
Tolsia opened up the scoring on a Devin Crum 7 yard touchdown run and a Tanner Copley to Peyton Watts two point conversion pass to make it 8-0 in the first quarter.
The Hawks tied it up on a Landon McFadden QB keeper from 3 yards out and conversion run from McFadden to make it 8-8.
With no time on the clock Crum hit Freshman Jesse Muncy who made a circus catch in the end zone on a halfback pass from 9 yards out and Crum made it 16-8 with the two point conversion to set the halftime score and give Tolsia all of the momentum.
In the second half the Tolsia ground game was in full effect as the Rebels chewed up yardage and the clock.
Crum added a 3 yard touchdown run and two point conversion to make it 24-8 with a minute left in the third.
John Wilson scored from 2 yards out and Peyton Watts added the conversion run to make it 32-8 midway through the 4th quarter.
The Hawks got a 71 yard pitch and catch to make it 32-14 and set the final score.
Watts picked off a pass and Tanner Copley recovered a fumble and the Rebel defense was really good.
Tolsia will make the 3 hour trek to Welch next Friday to meet the #1 team in Class A the Golden Knights of Mount View who are 5-0.

COACH’S COMMENTS
“..Another good win for our team. The field wasn’t in the best shape but i think it helped us. We are a ground and pound offense.”
“… The touchdown before half was critical. Jesse Muncy made an unbelievable catch that gave us a ton of momentum going into half.”
“… I thought we tackled well tonight and really came out physical and ready to play. Our defense was really good up front and put pressure on the quarterback.”
“… We have a big challenge in front of us next week on the road. They are very good but we are playing well and our team will play hard you can count on that.
