COACH’S COMMENTS
“… We put the bat on the ball and got the barrel through the zone a little bit better
tonight. It was a good win for us, Austin Bailey threw a really good game for us. That’s big for him and his confidence, considering we lost Logan Presley for the year with a torn labrum. He was our best pitcher coming back and it’s tough to lose him. Kyler Speer pitched the last two innings and threw well.”
“…We are still a young team just like last year but we have some kids back that played a ton last season.” With the new pitch count rules this season we have to throw strikes and make the hitters put the ball in play. We will throw a lot of new guys out there to see what they got. We have to pound the strike zone and let our defense work.”
