Tolsia Head Coach Brian Stacy

COACH’S COMMENTS

“… We went 2-1 this week and played three teams with totally different ball clubs. We were off because of the snow and then made the trip to Naugatuck and threw it all around the gym, out the back door, into the concession stand and into the bleachers. Hard to beat them on the road and then if you have 23 turnovers it’s impossible to win. We settled down in the second half and played ok but dug too big of a hole.

“… Friday night against Calvary was tough one for us. Coach Ballard played for legendary Poca coach Alan Osborne who in my opinion is the best coach in the state of West Virginia and Calvary plays the same type of defense and we really struggled against it and it was a rock fight all night long.”

“… Today against Hurley we shot a lot better but they gave us fits for a lot of the game. The big kid Adkins and the guard Bailey are two nice players that we couldn’t contain. I thought when we got out into transition we got some easy looks and extended our lead. Good way to finish the week.”

“… Tough week ahead for us with trips to Mingo Central on Tuesday and St. Joe on Wednesday before playing St. Joe again here at home next Friday. Should get a real gauge of our team after next week.”
