Fort Gay, W. Va. — St. Mary’s ( 4-4 ) outlasted Tolsia ( 3-5 ) 81-72 in the featured game of the 2nd Annual #RISEabove Rebel Shootout Saturday evening at Rebel Arena.
Jesse Muncy and Tyler Johnson led the Rebels with 19 points apiece, Rob Cantrell tallied 15 points, Steven Ward chipped in with 8 points, Zack Ball 5 points, Austin Salmons 4 points and Blake Sturgell 2 points.
Tolsia went 18-20 from the line and hit 4 three pointers.
St. Mary’s hit 9 three pointers and went 11-17 from the line.
William Steele hit 5 three pointers and finished with 26 points Peyton Auxier tallied 17 points, Richard Dornon and Grant Barnhart 10 points each, Ben Long 9 points, Jon Morrison 5 points and Carson Miller 4 points.

Tug Valley 79 Tolsia 63 ( Friday )
Naugatuck, W. Va. — The Panthers snapped a three game losing streak to their heated rival in a game that was much closer throughout.
Tug Valley jumped all over the Rebels with a 13-4 run to start the ballgame forcing a Tolsia timeout. After that THS fought back to take a 20-19 lead at the end of one quarter.
In the second quarter the two rivals traded blows as the Panthers took a four point lead with five seconds left before Tyler Johnson nailed a 30 footer at the buzzer as the Rebels trailed 37-36 at the half.
The third quarter was much like the same for the Rebels as Tug Valley started the second half with a 12-2 run and outscored Tolsia 19-10 in the quarter and led 56-46 going to the final period.
In the fourth the Rebels came out fired up and chipped away at the lead and pulled within 58-54 on a Rob Cantrell three pointer with four minutes left. After a Tug Valley time out the Panthers stretched the lead to nine points with back to back buckets to lead 63-54 and kept the Rebels at bay the rest of the way.
Zack Ball who made his debut led four Rebels in double figures with 16 points, Jesse Muncy tallied 15 points, Tyler Johnson chipped in with 14 points, Austin Salmons 10 points and Rob Cantrell 8 points.
Tolsia hit 7 three pointers and went 12-20 from the line.
Tug Valley placed four in double figures led by Ethan Colegrove with 24 points, Caleb May 20 points, Easton Davis 14 points, Ian Reed 13 points, Joby Sorrell 6 points, Matt Linville 2 points.
The Panthers hit 4 three pointers and went 7-22 from the foul line.

Tolsia will return to action Friday for a Section road matchup with Buffalo.
