Fort Gay, W. Va. — Tolsia senior baseball player Kyler Speer will continue his academic and athletic career at Kentucky Christian University as he signed on the dotted line late last week.
Kyler Speer signing with KCU
Speer is a utility player for the Rebels and has seen time on the mound, shortstop, third base, second base and spent some time in the outfield as well.
He isn’t sure how he will be used at KCU but is exited for the opportunity to play after high school.
Tolsia is currently 13-11 on the season and playing much better as they prepare for postseason play which begins next Monday.

COACH’S COMMENTS
“… First off we are proud of Kyler. He is the first kid since I have been here to sign to play at the next level. He has put the work in and now it’s paying off.”
“… I think he can be a good utility man for the Knights. He has played every position on the field for us the last 3 years. We wish him the best and can’t wait to see him progress.”
