Details are still sketchy concerning the tragic loss of a popular 19 year-old Kermit woman yesterday.

A fatal crash on Rt. 52 near Fort Gay happened yesterday and took the life of Kennadi Mollett, a 2024 graduate of Martin County High School. Traffic was stopped in both directions of Rt. 52 for an extended period.

Miss Mollett was a student at University of Pikeville where she was devoted to her education and becoming a cheerleader in college.

The accident occurred about a quarter mile south of the Stone Coal intersection on Rt 52 in southern Wayne County, W.Va. according to Wayne County Sheriff Rick Thompson. The Sheriff said the accident is under investigation.
