Pipe repair starts today on US 23 at KY 3 intersection in Lawrence County
LAWRENCE COUNTY (June 9, 2021) – A six-to-eight-week pipe repair project starts today on US 23 in Lawrence County. The site is at the intersection of US 23 and KY 3 north of Louisa, mile points 18.4-18.5. The contractor on the project is Frederick and May Construction of West Liberty, Kentucky.
Traffic will be reduced to one lane starting on the south side of the KY 3 intersection and extending 1,000 feet north of the intersection. The pipe repair site is 300 feet north of the US 23/KY3 intersection. The right lane will be closed; drivers will be directed into the left lane.
Drivers should slow down when approaching the work zone and merge into the left lane as soon as it is safe to do so. Be mindful of the workers and other vehicles that are slowing to navigate through the work zone.
