Pilgrim man charged with drugs after wrecking near Fallsburg

A Pilgrim, Ky. man was arrested on numerous charges, including drug possession, trafficking, DUI after a police traffic stop in Louisa late last week.
 
According to the arrest citation report, on Thursday night, March 5, 2026, Lawrence County Sheriff Office deputies Tyler Laney and Wyatt Laney encountered a vehicle that had driven off the roadway near the Fallsburg area of KY-3.

The arrest citation states that the vehicle  driven by Ethan Kole Hensely, 23, of Pilgrim, Kentucky; had a strong odor of marijuana, leading deputies to conduct a search. During the encounter, deputies reported locating marijuana and later a bag containing a white powder substance that Ethan Hensley allegedly attempted to destroy before being taken into custody.

Ethan Hensley was arrested and was charged with following offenses:

*DRUG PARAPHERNALIA – BUY/POSSESS:

*POSSESSION CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE 1ST DEGREE 1ST OFFENSE (COCAINE);

*TAMPERING WITH PHYSICAL EVIDENCE;

*RESISTING ARREST,

*POSSESSION OF MARIJUANA.

 

Ethan Kole Hensley was transported to and lodged in the Big Sandy Regional Detention Center in Paintsville in Johnson County; where he remains incarcerated as of Tuesday afternoon, March 10.
