Patsy Marcum Dowell, 68, of Crum, WV gained her wings on Monday, November 15, 2021, surrounded by her loving husband and family.
Patsy was born August 11, 1953 in Paintsville, KY to the late Robert Troy and Louella Pearl (Evans) Muncy. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brothers Steve Allen Muncy and Billy Roy Muncy.
Patsy was a retired teacher from the Wayne County Board of Education. She loved Wayne County. Patsy attended Silver Creek United Baptist.
Patsy is survived by her husband Steve W. Dowell; daughter Erica Laine Marcum of Williamson, WV; sons Christopher Edward Marcum of Crum, WV and Michael Wayne Dowell; grandchildren Dylan Thompson and Aaliaha Rose Copley; brother Robert James (Kimberly) Muncy of Dunlow, WV; sisters Mary “Cathy” Muncy of Fort Gay, WV and Donna Hicks of Crum, WV; special brother in law Danny Hicks of Crum, WV and a host of nieces and nephews, including special nephew Timothy Bryan. The family appreciates all the prayers and words of comfort received.
Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, November 20, 2021 at 10:00 AM at the Young Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Ken Allen officiating. Burial will follow in the Troy Muncy Cemetery in Crum, WV.
Friends may visit the family on Friday, November 19, 2021 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM in the Young Funeral Home.
