NO MORE STARS AND STRIPES, OR LONG JOHN SILVERS IN THIS SPOT!
A prime location and a legendary spot for many in the area who remember it as a Long John Silvers with Dave and Teresa Baldridge or Stars and Stripes with Dwayne and Rhonda Endicott, is no more as workers dozed the building to the ground. Memories aside, Mayor Harold Slone sees it as a sign of progress as a new modern Burger King will be constructed on the site moving down the street from its present location. He said an Ohio franchise company purchased the property and plans for a new BK have been known for months. It is not known what will happen with the current BK building reportedly owned by the Clevenger family. Also a mystery is where the S&S customers will go to have a beer and a meal since Louisa no longer has such an establishment.
