Gov. Bevin to Ceremonially Sign Six
Recently Enacted Pieces of Legislation
FRANKFORT, Ky. (Aug. 26, 2019) – Gov. Matt Bevin will be joined by state legislators and advocacy groups tomorrow in Frankfort, as he ceremonially signs six bills passed in the 2019 Kentucky General Assembly.
SB 84, sponsored by Rep. Tom Buford, establishes licensing standards and procedures for certified professional midwives.
HB 64, sponsored by Rep. Danny Bentley, allows pharmacists to fill a prescription in emergency situations without authorization by the prescribing practitioner.
SB 143, sponsored by Sen. Mike Wilson, prohibits state contracts with companies that participate in boycott, divestment, and sanction (BDS) practices against Israel and other Kentucky trade partners.
SB 30, sponsored by Sen. Ralph Alvarado, requires health insurance plans to cover genetic tests for cancer.
HB 130, sponsored by Rep. James Tipton, enhances and more clearly defines penalties for the crime of terroristic threatining.
HB 118, sponsored by Rep. James Tipton, prohibits an occupational licensing authority from suspending/revoking a license because the licensee is in default or delinquent on a student loan or work-conditional scholarship.
I would love to see legislation that prohibits the naming or renaming of public roads, buldings ect. after sitting elected officials.
Agree, i would hate to see a road named after this quack.

I’m dying over here! 😂
He’s not “da” man. You won’t be saying that when election is over.
He’s just trying to make a name for himself because he knows he’s not going to win. You will always here more about the politicians when it’s close to election time. He could have signed some better bills than that. This man makes me sick!
to be da man you have to beat da man way to go Matt
2 weeks before election Donald will fly in and his sheep will get in line

If only…
definitely don’t need no road signs or anything named after the elected officials. None what so ever! None of them deserve that kind of treatment.
