MUSIC IN THE PARK IS BACK FOR OCTOBER
Lawrence County Tourism Director Wes Kingsmore stated that the Music in the Park (Third Thursday) event is on for October! The event again will take place at the Main Street Park in downtown Louisa and the Tourism Commission is again partnering with the Lawrence County Public Library for the entertainment.
The Public Library will be sponsoring the Mark Comley “Death Came Knocking: Magic, ghost stories and mind reading show”. Mr. Comley was well received last year during Nightmare on the Square and his show is recommended for children ages 10 and up. Mr. Comley will begin his show at 7 pm. The library will have “Make and Take” crafts for the kids.
Following Mr. Comley will be a popular musician from Eastern Kentucky, Mr. Dustin Hoover. Dustin is a favorite at the Brickhouse restaurant in Prestonsburg, KY and sings a variety of music genres.
“We are expecting it to be a bit chillier than all our other Music in the Park events so bring your chair and a nice warm blanket and watch a magic show and listen to some good music”, stated Kingsmore. Kingsmore also said that if it looks like rain or the temperature is too cold then the venue WILL BE MOVED TO AN ALTERNATE LOCATION! Please check out our Facebook pages for “Lawrence County Tourism Commission-Kentucky” or “Lawrence County Public Library for venue changes on Thursday.
The Tourism Commission will be selling coffee, hot chocolate and donuts from the Dawdi Haus Bakery in Ironton, OH.
