LAWRENCE COUNTY, Ky. Indictments for January, 2017
The Grand Jury for the New Year, among those indicted, Elden Muncy Jr. for the November murders of two Lawrence Countians on Yellow Creek near the Martin County line.
Elden Shannon Muncy, Jr., 21 of Louisa indicted on 2 Counts of Murder, both with a penalty of : Death, imprisonment for life without parole, life without benefit of probation or parole until the service of 25 years, life in prison, or a term of years not less than 20 years nor more than 50.
The grand jury charges that on or about November 20, 2017 the defendant committed the offense of Murder when he intentionally caused the death of Mary Smith by shooting her with a firearm. The defendant committed the offense of Murder when he intentionally caused the death of Randy Blevins by shooting him with a firearm.
Jesse Caudill, 33 of Louisa, Ky. Indicted On Theft By Unlawful Taking Over $500 Under $10,000/Complicity (Class D Felony) Penalty Of 1 To 5 Years, Criminal Possession Of A Forged Instrument In The 2nd Degree/Complicity (Class D Felony) Penalty 1 To 5 Years, Theft By This Section Over $500 Under $10,000/Complicity (Class D Felony) Penalty 1 To 5 Years, And Persistent Felony Offender In The 1st degree. (Enhancement)
The grand jury charges that from August 8, 2017 through September 8, 2017 in Lawrence County:
1. The defendant acting alone or in complicity with Sierra Caudill, knowingly and unlawfully taking an air compressor and a Samsung television valued at a total of $659 owned by Teresa Chavis with the intent to defraud.
2. The defendant acting alone or in complicity with Sierra Caudill, knowingly and unlawfully possessed a forged check in the name of Teresa Chavis with the intent to defraud.
3. The defendant acting alone or in complicity with Sierra Caudill knowingly and unlawfully engaged in a course of conduct that deprived and defrauded Teresa Chavis of Louisa, Ky. Of $1333.25 by issuing checks to Food City in different amounts on different dates without her consent or permission to do so.
4. That the defendant having been charged in this indictment and convicted of two prior felony offenses, is now charged with Persistent Felony Offender.
Sierra D. Caudill, 32 of Louisa, Ky. Indicted On Theft By Unlawful Taking Over $500 Under $10,000/Complicity (Class D Felony) Penalty Of 1 To 5 Years, Criminal Possession Of A Forged Instrument In The 2nd Degree/Complicity (Class D Felony) Penalty 1 To 5 Years, Theft By This Section Over $500 Under $10,000/Complicity (Class D Felony) Penalty 1 To 5 Years.

Crystal Wheeler, 40 Of Louisa, Ky. Indicted On Trafficking In A Controlled Substance In The 1st Degree (Greater Than 2 Grams Of Meth) A Class D Felony With A Penalty Of 1 To 5 Years.
The Grand Jury charges that from October 1, 2015 through June 30, 2017 in Lawrence County, the defendant acting alone or in complicity with Michael Wilks, Brian Roop, and Kaitlin Roop knowingly and unlawfully possessed a controlled substance with the intent to traffic in that controlled substance or by trafficking in a controlled substance, namely Methamphetamine.
Michael Wilks, 41 of Louisa, Ky. Indicted on Trafficking In A Controlled Substance In The 1st Degree (Greater Than 2 G Of Meth)/Complicity (Class D Felony) With A Penalty Of 1 To 5 Years And Persistent Felony Offender In The 1st Degree. (Enhancement)
The Grand Jury Charges that from October 1, 2015 through June 30, 2017 in Lawrence County the defendant acting alone or in complicity with Crystal Wheeler, Brian and Kaitlin Roop knowingly and unlawfully possessed a controlled substance with the intent to traffic in that controlled substance or by trafficking in a controlled substance, namely methamphetamine. The defendant having been convicted of 2 prior felonies is now charged with Persistent Felony Offender.
Charles Marcum Aka (Chuck Marcum), 43 Of Louisa, Ky. Indicted On Theft By Unlawful Taking Over $500 Under $10,000 (Class D Felony) And Persistent Felony Offender
The Grand Jury charges that on or about October 19, 2017 in Lawrence County the defendant acting alone or in complicity with Kenneth Stepp committed the offense by knowingly and unlawfully taking a Ryobi tool set consisting of a Salzall, cordless drill, cordless impact, A circular saw, and edger, a flashlight into drill bit sets, two black and decker grinders, a job site brand toolbox, and ironworker tool set that include: spud wrenches, bull pins, sockets, a sleeve bar, A tool-belt and a safety harness, hand tools, combination wrenches screwdrivers etc., Precision levels, carbon fiber hard hats, precision micrometers, a generator, a bucket of random sockets, with a total of the items at $4374.72. Having been convicted of 2 prior felonies, The defendant is also charged with Persistent Felony Offender.
Kenneth Stepp, 33, Of Louisa, Ky. Indicted On Theft By Unlawful Taking Over $500 Under $10,000/Complicity (Class D Felony) Penalty Is 1 To 5 Years And Persistent Felony Offender In The 1st Degree.

The Grand Jury charges that from May 17, 2016 through July 24, 2016 in Lawrence County, the defendant acting alone or in complicity with Alexis Boyd and Matthew Caudill knowingly and unlawfully being in possession of a controlled substance with the intent to traffic in that controlled substance or by trafficking in a controlled substance, namely methamphetamine.
Charles Perkins, 25, of Louisa, Ky. Indicted On Trafficking In A Controlled Substance In The 1st Degree (Less Than 2 G/Complicity) A Class D Felony With A Penalty Of 1 To 5 Years And Persistent Felony Offender 1st Degree.
The Grand Jury charges that from July 6, 2016 through August 16, 2016 in Lawrence County the defendant acting alone or in complicity with Alexis Boyd and Matthew Caudill knowingly and unlawfully being in possession of a controlled substance with the intent to traffic in that controlled substance or trafficking in a controlled substance, namely methamphetamine. Having been convicted of two prior felonies, The defendant is also charged with Persistent Felony Offender.
Jocelyn Pickard, 32 Of Louisa, Ky. Indicted On Trafficking In A Controlled Substance In The 1st Degree (Less Than 2 G Of Meth/Complicity And Trafficking In A Controlled Substance In The 1st Degree (Greater Than 2 G Of Heroin)/Complicity Both Class D Felonies With A Penalty Of 1 To 5 Years.
The Grand Jury charges that from December 1, 2015 through October 9, 2017 in Lawrence County, the defendant acting alone or in complicity with Alexis Boyd and Matthew Caudill, knowingly and unlawfully being in possession of a controlled substance with the intent to traffic in that controlled substance or by trafficking in a controlled substance, namely methamphetamine, The defendant acting alone or in complicity with Alexis Boyd and Matthew Caudill Knowingly and unlawfully possessed a controlled substance with the intent to traffic in that controlled substance or a bad trafficking in a controlled substance, namely heroin.
Joseph Bentley, 37 of Louisa KY. indicted on Bailjumping in the 1st degree, a class D Felony with a penalty of 1 to 5 years.
The Grand Jury charges that on or before December 22, 2017 in Lawrence County the defendant knowingly and unlawfully having been released from custody by the court, with or without the bail, upon condition that he would subsequently appear at a specified time and place in connection with felony charge, he failed to appear at that time and place as ordered by the court.
Matthew Newsome, 36 of Louisa, Ky. Indicted on Theft By Unlawful Taking Under $10,000, class D felony with a penalty of 1 to 5 years.
The Grand Jury Charges that on or about December 22, 2017 in Lawrence County the defendant knowingly and unlawfully taking 2 Shindaiwa Leaf blowers, a Shindaiwa Weed trimmer, two leaf rakes and two snow shovels with a total of the Adams exceeding $1,000.
