Kentucky State Police Investigating Missing Person from Laurel County

LONDON, Ky. (January 20, 2026) – Kentucky State Police Post 11 is actively investigating the disappearance of a Laurel County woman who has been missing since January 11, 2026, at approximately 7:00 p.m.

Ida J. Hicks, 45, of London, Kentucky, was last known to be in the area of Highway 30 near the Laurel–Jackson County line.

Mrs. Hicks is described as a white female, approximately 5 feet 4 inches tall, weighing around 140 pounds, with blue eyes and brown, shoulder-length hair. A clothing description is not available at this time.

The investigation is being led by Investigator Zachary Loudermilk. Anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of Mrs. Hicks is urged to contact Kentucky State Police Post 11 in London at (606) 878-6622 or 1-800-222-5555.
